I Tested New ChatGPT-4o To Find Academic Sources

OpenAI introduced a new AI model - GPT-4o. This model provides GPT-4-level intelligence but is faster and has improved capabilities across text, voice, and vision. GPT-4o can now understand and discuss documents and images much better than previous models. For example, users can take a photo of a menu in another language and have GPT-4o translate it, provide information about the food, and give recommendations.

As usual I tested this new model of ChatGPT for academic purposes, namely finding sources. I also compared it with dedicated GPT from SciSpace on GPT Store.

GPT-4o enables more natural, real-time voice conversations and the ability to converse with ChatGPT via video. OpenAI is now expanding ChatGPT's language support to over 50 languages.The company is making GPT-4o available to ChatGPT users, both free and paid.

OpenAI also released a new MacOS desktop app for ChatGPT to make it easier to use.
